As I read the above words that were graciously posted by Charles Clark, who is the CEO for Rosslyn Analytics, I was moved by the sensitivity of the man to which he had referred, who while being charged with a difficult mission under the most arduous of circumstances was still able to maintain a level of compassion that would for most seem unfathomable.
Charles shared the words of Colonel Tim Collins as a means of providing an explanation as to why he voted in favor of the U.S. Administration’s decision to give Osama bin Laden a proper burial.
Through this lens of compassion that looks beyond the immediate circumstances of a vanquished enemy, we are perhaps all reminded if just for a moment, of our humanity and the extent of how it was lost as a result of 9/11.
Now that the number one enemy has been removed from the life equation, where we go from here will be a most interesting awakening.
